The Israel Economic Mission in New York

The Government of Israel Economic Mission in New York is part of the Foreign Trade Administration at the Israeli Ministry of Economy. Our goal is to promote trade and investment between Israel and the United States, particularly the markets on the East Coast (including Philadelphia, Boston, the Carolinas, and NYC).  We promote collaboration between Israeli and U.S. companies in a variety of sectors, including aerospace, automotive, consumer goods, clean energy, food, homeland security, IT, water technology, and wine. We offer opportunities from Israel to local business communities, in addition to general information information about the economy, specific sectors, or specific companies.

BIRD: Binational Industrial R&D Foundation

The BIRD Foundation was established by the U.S. and Israeli governments in 1977 to generate mutually beneficial cooperation between the private sectors of the U.S. and Israeli high tech industries, including start-ups and established organizations. BIRD provides both matchmaking services between U.S. and Israeli companies, as well as funding covering up to 50 percent of project development and product commercialization costs.  BIRD supports approximately 20 projects annually. The cumulative sales of products developed through BIRD projects have exceeded $8 billion.  Since its inception in 1977, BIRD has approved over 800 projects with leading companies in the U.S.
